Blake Glennie (Physiotherapist)

Blake graduated from The University of Newcastle in 2017, with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Hons).

During his studies, Blake worked with several sporting teams including Weston Workers FC, Adamstown FC, and Cooks Hill United FC under the mentorship of a titled sports physiotherapy. Blake is currently the head physiotherapist for Macquarie Scorpions Rugby League & Toronto Awaba FC. He also gained clinical experience in the areas of orthopaedic rehabilitation and fracture management at Royal North Shore and Orange Base Hospital.

Prior to Physiotherapy, Blake competed in representative football, but in recent years has turned his attention to coaching where he currently holds a FFA C licence. Outside of work Blake plays competitive golf in various tournaments across NSW and is currently a member of the Toronto Country Club A grade pennant team.

Through Blake’s involvement with various elite sporting teams, he has established a thorough understanding of the physical demands needed for both amateur and elite athletes, and the specific rehabilitation processes required in allowing them to return to play to their full capacity. In his treatment, Blake focuses on an individual tailored rehabilitation approach and the importance of correct biomechanics.

In 2018 he was appointment as a casual lecturer within the School of Biomedical Science at the University of Newcastle, where he currently lectures in physiology and anatomy.
